Rev. Alfred M Walker
Family Service Counselor
Reverend Walker was reared in Augusta, Georgia. He is a graduate of
Morehouse College where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion, and
Morehouse School of Religion at the Interdenominational Theological Center
where he received a Master of Divinity degree with a concentration in
Psychology of Religion and Pastoral Care, both in Atlanta, Georgia.
Reverend Walker brings to his position with Lincoln Funeral Home and
Memorial Park as a Family Service Counselor nearly 30 years of pastoral and
community experience, having led congregations as Senior Pastor in Georgia and
Texas respectively. He has served over 13 years as a Clinical Staff Chaplain,
both in Georgia at the University Medical Center of Augusta, and more recently
here with Baylor Scott & White Health at the Baylor University Medical
Center with focus in the area of Faith Community Health. Reverend Walker
currently serves as Senior Pastor of Bonnie View Christian Church (Disciples of
Christ) here in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, where he leads the Bonnie View
Family in the knowledge of Scripture, Servant-Leadership, Outreach, and
Congregational and Community Transformation. He has served on numerous
community and civic boards in Georgia and Texas, and is a strong believer in
ministering outside the four walls of the sanctuary. Lastly, he is a veteran of
the United States Navy.
Reverend Walker is married to Angela Bedford Walker, and they are the
parents of Azaria Ruth and Alfred Mark II.
