Tharead C. Roberson Celebratory Life “Thad Our Hero”

Tharead was born on February 1, 1947 in Nachitoches Parish, Louisiana to the parentage of Lawrence Roberson and Vurner Mae Roberson (both deceased).

Tharead was born the 5th of 16 children. He attended schools at Bethel Elementary in Nachitoches Parish and Central High School in the city of Nachitoches.

While still living in Louisianna, He married his first wife and to that union were born 3 children; Charlotte, Tharead Jr. and Patrick Roberson.

He worked for companies John Deere and New Holland Tractors rebuilding haybales.

Tharead moved to Dallas in 1977 and began working for Dixico Inc. He started out as a Machine Operator and retired in 1992 as a Shift Supervisor leaving to pursue his first love as a car Mechanic. He knew everything about the inside and outside of a motor and enjoyed restoring older model vehicles.

In 1981 Tharead met Rhonda S. Hines and her young son Raymond Alford who he raised as his own Son. Tharead and Rhonda joined Greater Peoples Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas under the leadership of Pastor W. McKnight who united them in marriage in 1983.

To this union were born 5 children. Derrick, Rochelle, Latrease, Terrence and Gleneice Roberson.

He is proceeded in death by his Parents: Lawrence & Vurner Mae Roberson. Siblings: Mr. Eariss Roberson – Mrs. Ernie Hatcher – Mr. Victor Roberson – Mr. Michael Roberson – Mr. Edward T. Roberson- Mr. Lawrence Roberson Jr.  Children: Ms. Charlotte Roberson – Tharead Roberson Jr.

Tharead is survived by his Wife: Rhonda S. Roberson and 7 Children: Patrick Roberson(Wanda); Raymond Alford; Derrick Roberson(Kenshia); Rochelle Roberson-Bass(Chris); Latrease Roberson; Gleneice Roberson-Kelly(Chris); Terrence Roberson; And Surrogate Grandson Josiah Brown.

18 Grandchildren: Reon; Shaunnesy; Jakedra; JaMarcus; Jaylen; Tatianna; Alundra; Tiara; Daymon; Rhonda; Brent; Bryce; Brady; Jeremy; Cameron; Zachias; Kylee; Christian.
