Sarah Tyeskie

April 2, 1927 — February 8, 2021

Dallas, Texas

Sarah Ann Williams Tyeskie was born April 2, 1927 in Teague, Texas to the parents of Mary Talton and Jesse Williams. She was the second of three siblings. She began her early education in the rural area of Freestone County, Texas. At age 14 they moved to Ryan, Oklahoma where she finished her secondary education.

She eventually moved to the DFW metroplex where she worked various jobs. She would in turn meet the love of her life, Thadis Tyeskie Sr.  They married on January 25, 1947 and were a true example of “until death do us part”. There is one child of this union.

At an early age in her adult life, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Saviour. For many years she attended Greater South Central Baptist Church, then Metropolitan Tabernacle Baptist Church under Pastor W J Atkins.

While proudly working many years for the Gatlin Family. She was eventually able to pursue her passion for cosmetology and attended The Madame C. J. Walker College of Beauty Culture and became a licensed beautician. She was the proprietor of Diceman Avenue Beauty Boutique until her retirement in the mid 90’s. She was a member of The Dallas Beauty Shop Owners Guild and was dedicated to the success of the organization. She won numerous awards for the many hair shows she entered in.  She was crowned Miss Cosmetology of The Texas State Beauty Culturist League in 1980.

She is preceded in death by her husband - Thadis Tyeskie Sr., Mother - Mary Talton, Sister - Janie May Mitchell,  Brother - John D. Talton, Niece - Janie Odell Beck, Grandson  - D. Tyeskie

She leaves to cherish her memory - 1 son - Thadis Tyeskie Jr.(Michelle), 1 grandson - D’Arrion Deion Tyeskie, 5 granddaughter’s - L’Deja(Charles), Aniah, Mya, Meghan and Keegan. 4 great grandson’s - D’Arrion Jr., Dakota, Charles Jr. and Kayden. 1 great granddaughter - Leilani and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Sarah aka “Sadie”, aka “Meme”, aka “auntie”, aka “momma”,  was loved and admired by all who knew her and will greatly be missed.
