Rickey Ingram

Rickey Eugene Ingram was born on April 19, 1961 in Dallas, Texas, as the oldest son to Sherman and Gracie Ingram. He attended school in the Wilmer-Hutchins school system.

Rickey was a devoted family man and husband to Vonda, his best friend, and father to Vonza Foley, Shantell Warren (Taj), De’Aetric Favors (Cortney), and Brandon Merida (Joy).

Rickey was an entrepreneur in the food/ hospitality industry for more than 30 years. He was well-known throughout the community. His unique calling card, Amazing Grace, by Aretha Franklin heralded his arrival throughout the neighborhood.

Rickey received his wings on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, and he went home to rest in the bosom of the Lord (2Cor. 5:8). He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman and Gracie Ingram and siblings, Sharon Jackson, and Sherman Lee Ingram.

Those he leaves behind to mourn his death are his wife, children, a brother, Byron (Cheryl), two sisters, Sandra (Cecil), Debra (Darrell), brother-in-law, David Jones, a sister-in-law, Dedra Stonum, father and mother-in-law, Donald & Linda Moten, grandchildren, aunts, and uncles, a host of nieces/nephews and friends.
