Regina Davis

April 27, 1964 — July 11, 2020

Lancaster

Regina Davis was born in Dallas Texas on April 27, 1964 to the parentage of LF Shaw and Sammie Davis, both preceding her in death.  She was the youngest and only girl of three children and is preceded in death by her brother Anthony Davis.

In 1970 the family relocated to Oakland, CA and in 1971 the family united with Zion Tabernacle Baptist Church under the guidance and leadership of Apostle A. B. Emerson.  Regina, at the age of eight grew up in the church and was a faithful servant where she later became the Church musician and Minister of Music. Regina remained at Zion Tabernacle serving the Lord for over thirty years. In 1981, she began to consecrate herself in much prayer, fasting, and the study of God's word. It was then that Regina accepted the call to preach. She studied at Trinity College of The Bible & Theological Seminary of Indiana. In March of 2003 she was anointed by God and licensed by Apostle A.B. Emerson to go forth in spreading the Gospel; thus, becoming Evangelist Regina Davis. As a humble and true worshiper of the Lord, she served as Minister of Music for Zion Tabernacle; where she was once the Youth Choir Director; Praise & Worship Leader; and supervised and played for the Oakland City-Wide Revival Combined Choirs. Upon the retirement of Apostle Emerson, the leadership of Zion Tabernacle B. C. changed, but Minister Regina Davis remained steadfast in her responsibility to God and the church and continued to serve the Music Department of Zion Tabernacle The House Of Prayer Church where she was formerly a member of the anointed band, “Minister Regina and The King's Men”.

After the passing of her mother, Regina relocated back to her hometown of Dallas, TX, to be with her brother. She then became a member and began serving as the Minister of Music for Family Union Missionary Christian Church, under the leadership of Pastor Terry D. Harris & First Lady Deborah L. Harris.

Regina is survived by her brother Gregory Davis, God-Mother Doris Jarvis, nephew Jazavian Jackson and a host of Cousins, friends and loved ones.

Her life was a living example of the Bible verse, Ephesians 4:32 — "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ."

On July 11, 2020, after fighting a good fight; after finishing her course; and after keeping the faith; Regina L. Davis was greeted by God's Holy angels who ushered her into His eternal Kingdom.  Regina will be cherished and missed by all who knew and loved her.
