Mr. Johnny Campbell Jr.

August 10, 1966 — March 13, 2020

Johnny Campbell, Jr. was a successful man, who lived well, laughed often and loved much. He gained the respect of intelligent men and women and also the love of children. He loved life and all those who knew him could feel his love. Johnny was a unique character full of fun and laughter. He enjoyed making his friends and family laugh by playing jokes and pranks on them. He died very quickly and unexpectedly from the onset of cancer.

Johnny was born to the parents of Johnnie and Mattie Campbell. He married the love of his life, Carolyn Campbell over 30 years ago, with whom they had three daughters, Shanika, Jovita, and Taquisha. He taught his daughters that they were just as good as sons, maybe even better. The girls worked alongside him on his lawn service business, which he and his wife started. It was through the lawn service business he acquired two god-sons, Antero and David Nanez. Their father had passed earlier in life and Johnny took them under his wings.

Even though he had his own business he still was able to hold down a job at Duncanville I.S.D. as a bus driver and soon one of the Student Management Coordinators. It was in Duncanville he gained the opportunity to work with children and their parents who truly loved him. He also worked with the Duncanville staff who showed their appreciation in his last days on Earth.

Johnny had a large family growing up who truly loved him and will miss him. Unfortunately he is preceded by three of his siblings in death. The people Johnny leaves to cherish his memories are: his father and mother; his three daughters; two godsons; his grandchildren, Kieanthony, Kietron, and Kieandrew, 4 sisters and 5 brothers; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
