John Walker

February 19, 1935 — February 16, 2021

Dallas, Texas

John Etta Walker was born to the parentage of the late John D. Lacy and Rutha Mae Lacy on February 19, 1935 in Waskom, Texas. She was married to Carl C Walker Sr who preceded her in death. John Etta was the eldest of her siblings: Shirley Mapps, Virginia Paul, Doris Coit, David Lacy and Chester Lacy.  Deceased siblings: James Lacy, Juanita Garrett, Wesley Lacy and Lester Lacy.

\She was the mother of six children: Gloria Lacy, Charles Lacy – deceased, Diana Bickems, Edith Walker, Carl Walker and Rose Walker.

John Etta Walker leaves a host of grand children, great grand children and great great grand children and many friends. We will miss her kindness and the beautiful smile that she presented to the world on a daily basis.

Johnetta passed away on February 16, 2021, just three days shy of her 86th birthday.   She had not been ill, but she just kept on saying daily “that she was tired” and slept most of the time. God called for her presence with him late in the afternoon to come home with him in glory.

Mother loved going to church, studying the bible, working with the sewing quilts ministry, cooking and spending time with her family.

She will be missed by her church family whom she loved dearly, a wealth of neighbors and friends. Her quite demeanor spoke volumes about her character without saying a word.
