Jesse Griffin

July 11, 1948 — July 17, 2020

Jesse  B. Griffin the oldest son of C. B. and Jewel Griffin was born on July 11, 1948.  His parents and three siblings Margaret Jones, M. C. Griffin and Patsy Ross preceeded him in death.

Jesse proudly served in the United States Army and will be laid to rest at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife Annie Griffin, his oldest son Jesse Griffin Jr. and daughter Tammy Patton. His Step children William Contee, Darian Contee, Dominic Godfrey and Pierre Godfrey.  He leaves to mourn his passing Charla Griffin-Ayres, Robert Griffin, Clydell Mccoy (Rickey), Clara Griffin-King (Duncan), Ronnie Griffin, Judy Griffin and Kathy Griffin.  His grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews and a host of longtime friends.  His uncle William Clay and Aunt Katie Buckner and so many students that he mentored after becoming a student and helping his wife at El Centro College. His knowledge and experiences in life helped so many the new PaPa as he had them refer to him would always listen.
