D. L. Brown

DL Brown was born to Lewis Brown and Dorothy Price on July 19th, 1936 in Calvert, TX. He attended Calvert High School where he graduated in 1954. He accepted Christ at an early age. After graduation, DL moved to Dallas to start his career. He worked at Alfords Refrigerated Warehouse for many years and moved on to H. J. Hines where he retired. In 1980, DL united with Hill Avenue Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Banks, where he served on the deacon and usher board. In 1988, he joined Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Walter A. Wilson, where he also served on the deacon board and was head usher. DL was preceded in death by his parents Lewis Brown and Dorothy Price and sister Donnell Jones. DL was the loving and devoted husband and best friend of Linda Brown for 40 years. and also leaves to cherish his memory: sons Darryl Sayles (Lynnette), Allen Brown (Michelle); daughter, Tandi Fergerson; grandchildren, Zhonore’, Zuri, Briah, Malachia, Deztiny, Tekasha, Austin, Yatavia, a host of nieces and nephews, and many more family members and friends.
