Cellus Pointer

Cellus Pointer was born in Magnolia, Arkansas, on March 30, 1938, to Tyree Mayloa Pointer. He had 12 brothers and sisters, Cellus went to Walker High School in Arkansas where he played basketball on the varsity team.

Later years, he moved to Dallas and worked for Uvalde construction company for over 30 years. Cellus met his wife, Linda Catherine Young, in west Dallas and they were married for over 50 years. To this union six children, Broderick Pointer, La Mesa Pointer Armstrong, Vincent Pointer, Tonya Pointer, Terry Pointer, and Andre Pointer; grandchildren, Steven Pointer, Trey Pointer, Taniya Lashay Cobbin, Andre Thomas; and ten great-grandchildren.

In Mr. Pointer's spare time, he liked fishing, watching the cowboys (my kryptonite) and cracking funny jokes with family and friends. He will be terribly missed, and we thank God we had him in our life.
