Billy Greenidge

March 14, 1986 ~ March 6, 2020 (age 33)

Obituary

Billy Alexander Greenidge devoted father, son, and brother was born March 14, 1986 in Dallas, Texas. He was lucky enough to have two moms and two dads, Spencer, Nora, Darryl, & Sonya. Through this blended family Billy was surrounded by an abundance of love from five siblings, Sherri Rayson, Cameron Greenidge, Kendrick Greenidge, Jalen Ford, and Gabrielle Greenidge. Grandparents Alfonzo Greenidge, Diane Monsanto, Lavern Bass (deceased), Billy Bass Sr. (deceased), Stephanie Ford, and Tommy Wayne Willis. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, brother and sister in-laws that adored Billy, but he shared a special relationship with his aunts Tamara (deceased) and Pierrette. Anyone that knew Billy was aware of his love and admiration for his two children Bailey Greenidge and JaVontay “Jay” Bryant.

Billy grew up and attended school in Irving, Texas where he stood out as an exceptional athlete, earning a full scholarship to the University of Tulsa. He was a talented barber with a passion for music and dogs. He frequently volunteered and donated to the DFW Humane Society. He would talk to you all day about soccer, football, basketball, baseball and volleyball. This love of the “game” led him to mentoring numerous children in the Irving, Euless, and DFW communities.

Billy asking “you good” was not only a greeting but a true concern for your wellbeing. Known for his random acts of kindness to family, friends, and perfect strangers. Billy created and Open Closet Concept, issuing access of his personal wardrobe to young men in need. If the phrase “mi casa es su casa” (my house is your house) were a person, it would be a photo of Billy. Everyone knew that if their ends did not meet, Billy would fill the gap. Can you hear him saying “I got you”, now God has him.

Though we will all miss Billy dearly, let’s celebrate the time we had with him.
In honor of Billy, please attend his service in casual attire that contains his favorite color, RED.
