Alphonso Thomas

December 31, 1962 — November 19, 2022

Desoto

Alphonso Dewayne Thomas was born December 31, 1962 in Dallas, TX to J.C. Thomas Jr. and Dorothy Nell Thomas . He was the ninth of the Thomas siblings.

He graduated from Justin F Kimball  High School in 1981 , and was a member of the football team. Alphonso attended Howard Payne University and continued his love of playing football.

Alphonso “Sull” Thomas was a truck driver for over thirty years. He founded and operated Mo Juice Trucking for seven years as a legacy for his family.

In 2011 at the Albertsons in Cedar Hill, TX , his life changed forever. He met Sharriff Glover that day and the epitome of Black Love began. They dated for four years, and on Christmas Eve of 2015 he asked her to marry him and she said yes. The two tied the knot on April 1, 2016. The love between the two of them could be seen and felt from miles away.

Alphonso was a  lover of the Blues, avid fisher, and die hard Cowboy Fan. He practically bled blue and silver.

While we are saddened, we also rejoice that the Lord brought him home on November 19, 2022 at 4:10pm. His healing came on the other side and he is resting with our Lord and Savior. Whenever someone asked how he was doing, he would say, “I’m kicking but not too high.” Now he is kicking high with his father.

Alphonso Thomas  was preceded in death by his father J.C. Thomas Jr. His siblings RoyAnn Sullivan,  Berton Thomas, and Lorenzia Thomas Sr.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Sharriff Thomas of Desoto TX, his children: Chanel Thomas, Sebastian Jordan, and bonus daughter Kori Thompson. His mom Dorothy Thomas.  Brothers and sisters Kenneth Sullivan, Charles Thomas, Samuel Sullivan, Robin Thomas, Loretta Rankin, and Willie-Etta Hancock.Host of nieces and nephews.
