Obituary

Willie Lee Price Jr. was born on March 24, 1952, in Texarkana, Arkansas to the late Willie Price Sr. and Clara Thomas. He peacefully departed this life on May 4, 2026.

Willie accepted Christ at an early age and was affectionately known as “The Little Preacher.” He attended and graduated from Texarkana Public Schools, where he developed the strong values and character that guided him throughout his life.

Willie proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, dedicating five years of active service. He carried the pride, discipline, and spirit of a United States Marine with him every day and was honored to be called a veteran.

From a previous marriage, Willie was blessed with three daughters: Charlesa Taylor, Sherisha Blackwell, and his late daughter, Jkeidia Price. He loved his daughters deeply and treasured every moment spent with them.

Willie and his cousin and best friend, Billy Thomas, later moved to Dallas to begin a new journey in life. There he met the love of his life, the late Norma Lee Medford Price, who transitioned in 2013. From the moment Willie laid eyes on her, he knew she was the one. Together they shared more than 30 beautiful years of marriage and built a loving family rooted in devotion and unity. Through their union, Willie lovingly embraced his stepdaughters, Iesha Patterson and Darkas McDuff.

Willie dedicated more than 30 years working in the warehouse industry, serving in many leadership roles. He was respected for his hard work, dependability, and willingness to help others. Beyond his own children, Willie also helped raise his granddaughter, Norma Patterson, and guided his nephews, Carl Medford and his late nephew Tyrone Medford, with the same steady hand and quiet strength that defined his life.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Price Sr. and Clara Thomas; his beloved wife, Norma Lee Price; and his daughter, Jkeidia Price.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his daughters, Charlesa Taylor, Sherisha Blackwell, Iesha Patterson, and Darkas McDuff; his son-in-law, Lee McDuff, his sisters, Gracie Tarry and Clarice Price; his brothers, Rodney Price, Kindley Price, and Tommy Price; host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many loving friends.
