Willie Loveless Sr. was born in Bossier City, Louisiana on April 4, 1936 to Maybelle Hardy and Henry Loveless. Willie and his sister Mattie were raised by their mother and his step father H.M. Mosley. They all preceded him in death. In 1959 he joined the United States Army and married Mary Mcduffy(who also preceded him in death).
