Willie Mae Alexander

Willie Mae Alexander Burleson was born the parentage of A.D. and Lether Stephens on May 22, 1923 in Royse City, Texas. She received her education in Royse City Texas. She worked for Lone Star Gas Company for over 40 years.

 

She professed her love for Christ at an early age at Allen Addition Church of God in Christ. She later continued her Christian walk at Greater St. Matthew under the late Reverend B.R. McGowan and currently under Bishop Paul L. Watson, where she was a faithful member.

 

She married L. D. Richard and during this union one child was born Gwendolyn.  Later she married Ray Alexander, during this union two children were born Peggy Jean and Gilbert Ray. Later in life she met and married Pastor Floyd D. Burleson. They enjoyed many years together.  Wille Mae was a woman of adventure who loved traveling the world, she was a gourmet chef in the kitchen, always dressed to impress, loved spending time with her family, and most of all she loved the Lord with all her

heart.

 

Preceding her in death are husbands, L.D. Richard, Ray Alexander, and Pastor Floyd D. Burleson; mother, Lether Stephens; father, A.D. Stephens; daughter, Gwendolyn Bonner; son, Gilbert Ray Alexander; sister, Nadine Means Caraway; brothers, Odesa Caraway and Isaiah Hicks, and sister-in-law Magnolia Carraway.

 

Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter Peggy Jean Marka, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and friends.
