Anyone who entered the presence of Tommie George Bell immediately knew he loved life, he always was so loving and kind to everyone, and had a smile that would brighten your day.
He was a devoted father, grandfather and husband to the love of his life for 50 years. He will continue to live in the hearts and minds of those who really knew him.
He was the son of the late Tommie Bell and Edna Mae Howard Clay and was born on January 22, 1948 in Hemphill, Texas in Sabine County. He was united in matrimony to Joda Cooks Bell on November 22, 1969.
He graduated from Thomas Johnson High School in Hemphill on May 24, 1966 and moved to Dallas in July 1966. He retired from S.H. Lynch after 22 years of service and later worked from Dallas Independent School District for about 4 years.
He was a faithful member of Kirkwood Temple CME for over 45 years. His early years was spent at Macedonia Baptist Church in Hemphill.
Life came to close at an unknown hour for Mr. Tommie George Bell on March 25, 2020.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Joda; his step dad, J.C. Clay; daughter, Tamekwa Taylor, Demetrius; sons, Torrey Bell, Raquel and Kalan Bell; brother, Tommie Ray Bell, sisters, Sharon Randall and Adrienne Bell ;four grandchildren, Bria Bell, Torrey Bell, Jr., Jeremiah and Isaiah Taylor; and a host of other relatives and friends.
