Tewan Jerome Emory, beloved son, husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on June 13, 2023 at the age of 38. He was born on May 23, 1985, in Pittsburg, Texas, to Terry Lewis and Sharon Emory.

Tewan was a devoted family man who treasured his role as a father and husband. He is survived by his loving wife, Oneita Emory, and his cherished children, Keyton, Tydre, Ayden, and Zuri. Tewan's dedication and love for his family were evident in every aspect of his life, and he will be deeply missed as a guiding light and role model to his children.

Tewan remained steadfast in his faith as a Hebrew Israelite, finding strength and guidance in the teachings of the Bible. His spiritual convictions shaped his values, providing him with a moral compass that guided his actions and interactions.

Throughout his life, Tewan wore many hats and excelled in each of his roles. He was a self-employed Master Barber, a profession he pursued after dedicating 15+ years to the manufacturing industry. Tewan's passion for his craft and his dedication to his clients made him a sought-after barber. He took pride in his work, not only for his expertise but also for the genuine connections he formed with those who sat in his chair.

Tewan was known for his impeccable sense of style and was regarded as a great dresser by friends and family. He had an eye for fashion and always made a statement with his outfits on budget.

Tewan was an avid fan of the Los Angeles Lakers and the Baltimore Ravens. Tewan’s competitive sprit knew no bounds. Whether it was cheering for his favorite teams or engaging in friendly rivalries, he had a deep love for sports and could often be found cheering on his favorite teams with great enthusiasm.

Beyond his professional and sports-related pursuits, Tewan found immense joy in music and playing sports himself. He had a natural talent for basketball and even shared his knowledge and skills as a basketball coach. Tewan's dedication to the game and his ability to inspire young athletes left a lasting impact on the lives he touched.

Tewan attended Richland College for several years, furthering his education and expanding his horizons. In 2021, he graduated from AACTION Barber and Styling College. His thirst for knowledge and personal growth was evident in all aspects of his life, and he was always eager to learn and explore new opportunities.

Above all, Tewan will be remembered as a great person who touched the lives of many. His kindness, generosity, and genuine nature were admired by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his parents, Sharon Emory and Terry Lewis, his sister Kourtneye, his brothers, Tyrus, Benjamin, and Tyree, and a multitude of family members and friends who were blessed to have him in their lives.

As we mourn the loss of Tewan, let us also celebrate the legacy of love, compassion, and dedication that he leaves behind. His memory will forever be in our hearts, and his influence will continue to inspire us to live our lives to the fullest, just as he did.
