Sharon Younger

Sharon Jean Gerald Younger, 62, was born October 4, 1955 to the union of Aaron and Betty Gerald in Dallas, Texas.  Sharon received her formal education from Pearl C. Anderson Middle School and later graduated from Spruce High School in 1974. In 1978, Sharon was introduced to the love of her life Kevin Wayne Younger.  To this union was born Kevin Christopher Younger, July 30, 1981 and Erin Michelle Younger, March 14, 1985.

Sharon accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Beginners Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. She later joined the Church of the Living God, CWFF where she was a faithful servant.  You could find her with the children during Sunday school or in the kitchen helping to fix meals for everyone.  Sharon left the Church of the Living God to attend Faithful Believers where she continued to do God’s work.  Sharon was very active with her family and friends.  She loved shopping, organizing, planning, and experiencing new things. She loved art and loved to draw.

Sharon departed this life on Thursday, June 21, 2018. She was preceded in death by her father, Aaron Gerald and her brother Dennis Gerald.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Kevin W. Younger of Dallas, Texas; Kevin C. Younger (Jasonya) of Dallas, Texas; Erin Younger of Dallas, Texas; mother, Betty Gerald of Dallas, Texas; sister, Ester Darlene Settle(John) of Dallas, Texas; brother, Alfonzo McCuen(Darla) of Dallas, Texas; mother in law, Arnell Younger, of Dallas, Texas.  Grandchildren: Serenity, Kevin Jr., of Dallas, Texas, and Nickalus Griffin of Lufkin, Texas.  She also leaves behind a host of grand nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
