Ms. Shakena Marie Ballard was born March 29, 1984 to LaTanga Ballard and Jeffrey Bogan in Detriot, Michigan.
Shakena attended Detriot public school.Upon graduation she attended Michigan State and wayne State University where she received her Bachelor Degree in Criminal Justice. She later attended Phoenix University where she reached her goal of a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice.....(WELL DONE KENA)!!!
Shakena had a passion for her pets; Precious & Sam.
On September 21, 2012 at 3:35pm, Shakena lost her battle with Lupus and the Lord called her home to be with her Lord and Saviour.
Shakena was loved by all that knew her. She had a radiant smile and left a impression with every person she met.
Shakena was preceded in death by her grand parents Samuel & Jessie Ballard.
Shakena leaves to cherish her memories; mother LaTonga Ballard, father Jeff Bogan, one brother Robert Ballard, one sister Jorionna Woods, five Uncles Ted, James, Jawara (Imini), Anthony,& Samuel Jr. (Cherry); two Aunts, Denise & Latrice (Brandon); one unborn neice Melissa Ballard & one neice E'Laejah Abraham, three special friends, Stephanie, Melvina and Lastarr; her buddies Shakira, (Kira Beara) & Chris; one God son Alton and a host of other relatives and friends.
