REFLECTIONS OF THE LIFE AND LEGACY OF

MOTHER RUTHIE BELL JOHNSON-KEITH

Ruthie Bell Johnson-Keith was born and raised in Marshall, TX on June 21, 1922 to the parents of Robert and Mollie Johnson.  In making her acquaintance with Jeffery Johnson, Sr. they united in marriage at an early age, afterwards moving to Dallas, TX in 1950. In 1979 she relocated to Los Angeles, CA where she married Elder Henry Keith.

In giving her life to Christ Mother Keith served faithfully from Texas to California in many capacities of Ministry such as Prayer Band Leader, Teacher of Sunday School, Bible Band, Young People Willing Workers (Y.P.W.W.), Choir Director/President , Evangelism and last but not least an Ordained Pastor. Mother Keith also had an opportunity to minister here in Dallas on radio station K-SKY.

In spite of her limited education, Mother Keith had a burning desire to win souls for Christ through witnessing as the Holy Spirit led her from door to door. The Lord appointed and anointed her for Kingdom Work. With the boldness of the Holy Spirit she had the gift of laying hands on the sick and they recovered and those who had demonic spirits were delivered and set free. The Lord also used Mother Keith in prophecy.

During her ministry, Mother Keith assisted in helping build many churches under the leaderships of Superintendent A.B. Powell (Powell Chapel C.O.G.I.C.), Pastor R. Hunter, Bishop Murphy Ford (Crusade Street Ministry), Pastor Otis Oatman (Seagoville C.O.G.I.C.), Pastor Vernell Stephen, Bishop Connie Walton (Dallas/California), Bishop James Moss (Greater Harvest Pentecostal/California), and Bishop Henry Barnett (Mt.
