Reta Crawford Whitmill was born on June 21, 1953, in Dallas, Texas to Albert Crawford Jr and Mae Bookman-Crawford. To this union nine children were born including her twin sister, Rena Robertson.
She was raised and educated in Dallas, Texas where she attended Wilmer Hutchins High School. She went on to build a life centered around love, family and meaningful relationships.
Reta was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt who gave so much of herself to those she loved. She had a warm and gentle spirit, and a beautiful way of making everyone feel important and cared for. Whether she was sharing a laugh, offering comfort, or simply sitting beside you, her presence brought peace and joy. She loved her family and friends. She took pleasure in collecting things, gardening and feeding the birds. During the Christmas holidays you would find her in a Santa suit delivering presents to all of her family members and friends. She had a way of turning moments into something special, and being loved by her was a gift that will always be cherished.
Reta, also known as Mother Reta to her Pastor and church family. She loved her church, The Rock Church of Dallas, Texas. She was a faithful and dedicated member.
