Reginald L. Turner

December 20, 1955 — May 2, 2025

Reginald Turner was born December 20, 1955 to the late Bradford and Emma Turner in Dallas, Texas. At an early age he was baptized and later joined New Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, under the leadership of Dr. W.J Shackleford.

He loved his rich roots of the DFW area, he attended C. F. Carr Elementary and graduated from L.G Pinkston High School, Class of `74. Reggie decided to serve his Country after high school and joined the Army Reserve. "Hard worker" is an understatement, Reggie worked for Union Pacific until the opportunity to join American Airlines was presented to him. His sweet mother Emma saw the job ad listed in the paper. Reggie applied and worked for American Airlines for 28 dedicated years.

Over the years, Reginald was blessed with three beautiful children, his oldest daughter the late Sharlyndra Brown, his son Corey Loud, and his baby girl Janelle Turner. Although a man of few words he was very family oriented, loved his children and proud of all their accomplishments. He may have not said the words out loud, but his love was shown and felt.

Reginald also loved all things sports, food, movies and travel. If he was not doing those things, you might have spotted him out to breakfast with Janelle or in the Stadium stands supporting his nephew, EB. In 2008, He became Grandad! His son Corey moved back to Dallas and blessed him with his first two grandchildren, Corey Jr. and Cora Lynn.

He enjoyed all things Dallas and loved showing his lovely wife Fran around Dallas, he was the best tour guide. They traveled and enjoyed Friday Night lights. No matter the school or who was playing Friday Night Football was an outing he enjoyed, even after his amputation.

Well, his last “Friday Night Lights” was on May 2nd and he peacefully departed this life. Although one tough game he had a long battle of many health issues. Reggie was not happy being away from home so to know that he is safe in the arms of the Lord, no suffering, no pain, gives us peace. He will be missed immensely.

Preceded in his death, Brad and Emma Turner- parents, Marsha Wheatfall -sister, Eldrith Wheatfall- Brother-in-law and his oldest daughter Sharlyndra Brown.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife Francine O. Turner. Son -Corey Loud (Demisha), his youngest daughter Janelle Turner.
