Ophelia Hines Cooper. Age 98, a resident of Dallas, died at home June 19, 2026. Born in Hearn, TX. She was the only child of Annie Mae Hines. While attending St. John Baptist Church, Ophelia joined the JoAnna Williams Bible class. Saturday mornings she spent on the phone with that wonderful group of Ladies was the highlight of her week. Ophelia’s entire career was spent in the hospitality industry, she worked as a Waitress at Town & Country Restaurant, Spaghetti Warehouse, The Shed Steakhouse, House of Gong, and Top of The Cliff Club in Oak Cliff. She reluctantly retired in 2002. Preceded in death by her Mother and Son Simon Hines, she is survived by Anna Denise Hines, Daughter, Steven Paul Cooper and Charles Edward Cooper, Sons; Devoted Chosen Daughters Janice Hampton and Sha’Ron McCullough, Grandchildren, RoShawndra Turner, Derrick Birdow (Deborah), Angelia Niki Ford, Samatha Jacques, Great and Great-Great Grandchildren.
