Mozie Jackson was born June 25, 1935 in Palestine, Texas, to the proud parents of Charlie & Angeline Jackson. He later moved to the Dallas area sometime in the 1950’s, where he worked for Metro Brick for over 30 years. He was very dedicated to his job.
Mozie later married Dorothy in 2007 and together they have seven children, three girls and four boys. He was known for his many vehicles in which he enhanced with lights & pipes, so you knew when he was coming down the street. You would always see him with his favorite cigar in hand or in his mouth on a toothpick listening to the blues. Oh, how he loved his blues! He was known and loved by many.
Mozie departed this life on Monday, April 26, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father, Charlie Jackson, his mother, Angeline Jackson and his six sisters: Carrie Jackson Ellison, Mildred Holmes, Dorothy Jackson, Mable Barrett, Norma Jackson, & Bertha Simpson.
Mozie leaving to cherish his memories: His wife, Dorothy Jackson; daughters, Mildred Baker, Shanne Council, Jacquelyne Edwards; sons, Christopher Council, Robert Council, Christopher Crowder and Julius Crowder, son-in-law, Jeffery Edwards & Earl Mason; 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and a host of extended family & friends.
