Lowell T. Evans, born September 1, 1956, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2025. A lifelong resident of Dallas, Texas, Lowell was known for his steady presence, his devotion to family, and his love of working with his hands. He was the son of the late Harper T. Evans, Sr. and Esther J. Evans, and is preceded in death by them both.
Lowell leaves behind his brothers, Harper T. Evans, Jr. and Brian L. Evans, who will forever hold dear the memories they shared together. Though he did not have children of his own, Lowell was a beloved uncle and father figure to his nieces—Ramona Evans, Karen Evans-Jones, Kimberly Evans-Kirby, and Rachelle Evans-Wilson. His love and guidance extended across generations, touching the lives of his 13 great-nieces and great-nephews, all of whom cherished his presence and wisdom.
Lowell found great joy in all things mechanical, a passion that guided his long career in aviation. Lowell dedicated 51 years of his life to PPG, where he became one of the company's longest-tenured employees. Through multiple changes in ownership, he remained steadfast, rarely missing a day of work. Though invited to take on supervisory roles, he chose to remain hands-on, priding himself on accuracy, consistency, and precision in his craft. His unmatched work ethic and reliability earned him the respect of his colleagues.
