With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved grandmother, Louise White. Born in Dallas, Texas, to the late Lewis and Ruby Lee Luckey, Louise was the eldest of their children and a steady, loving presence throughout her life.
Louise was preceded in death by her devoted husband of over 30 years, George White, and by her infant sister, Bobbie Jean Luckey. Together, Louise and George built a life centered on faith, family, and unconditional love.
A dedicated homemaker, Louise also found great joy in her work as an interior decorator. She had a special gift for creating warm, inviting spaces that became the heart of family gatherings. Her culinary talents, especially during the holidays, were legendary—bringing loved ones together through meals filled with joy, laughter, and lasting memories.
Family was everything to Louise. Her love extended far beyond the traditional roles of wife, mother, and grandmother. Alongside her husband, she lovingly raised three of her grandchildren as her own: Dewonia Banks-Young, Colewonia Louise Banks, and Anthony Bennett Jr. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support were the foundation of their lives and the lives of many others.
Louise leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion. She is survived by her children: Rosemary Gilder, Lawrence White, and Yolanda Matthews; her grandchildren: Dewonia Banks Young (Rodney Young), Colewonia Louise Banks, and Anthony Bennett Jr.; and a host of other beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
