Mr. Leonard Dan Burns, Sr. of Dallas, Texas is preceded in death by both of his parents Clarence Sr. and Henrietta Burns, and his loving wife of 34 years, Maurine Burns. Together from their union they leave to cherish two children and their families. Leonard Jr., the oldest son known to all as LB, (wife Sylonda), and stepchildren Sydne and Jeremiah. Baby-girl Dani Lanette (fiancé Maurice ?Tyrone? Turner) and daughters Kyairra, Aaliyah, Skye, and twins Jordyn and Jayda. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends survives him all from the Dallas Ft. Worth and Seattle Washington area.
Daddy: I will always love you. I miss you already. I could talk to you about any and everything knowing that you would fuss, hug, cry and then laugh ? in that order. I will miss our long talks, car rides, and all of the laughter you brought to the family. Whenever I was down I could come around you and YOU would turn my tears into laughter. I can still hear your voice saying ?Dani Lanette?, although you are gone. I am sad because you are gone, but will continue to live so that you are pleased, and raise ?Papas? girls so that you and Momma would be proud. Rest in Peace, Your Babygirl
To my ?Old Man?: You?ve been in my life for 41 years. Not many people can say that their fathers were in their life for so long. You will be missed. I?m sad for our family to see you are gone, but I realize that we all must go this path ? one day. I will continue to trust in the Lord with all my heart and lean not to my own understanding but in all my ways acknowledge him so that he will direct my path (Proverbs 3:5-6). Now that I am the oldest and only man left in our family, rest in knowing I will continue to take care of my family, and look after my sister and nieces. God?s Peace ? Jr.
Papa: My Papa Leonard was a great man. I loved him very much. He really missed my grandmother when she was a live. One day my papa Leonard told me that he, my mother, father, younger siblings, and I will be with my grandmother one day in heaven?. My papa Leonard was a very talented and gifted man. I am going to live the life that you will want me to live. Rest in Peace, Your Grand-daughter
