It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Larry Conner on July 31, he was 74. Larry fought but lost his long battle with COPD.
Larry was born in Ennis, Texas, to Jessie Mae Conner and Elbert Conner. He attended Ennis High School and was in the class of ‘62. Larry was known for his quiet nature and strong work ethic. He spent his life working in various labor-intensive jobs, often finding solace and purpose in the rhythm of physical work. He was a man of few words, but his dedication and reliability were always evident. He was a man of routine, finding comfort in simple things like buying scratch-off lottery tickets and sitting outside under a tree with friends.
Larry is survived by three sisters: Virginia Basarich (Sarge), Lisa Whitby (Leroy), Regina Hewitt (Chris), a daughter, Breanna Bradley and a host of loving family members and friends.
There will not be a service. Larry was cremated and will be buried at Carver Memorial Cemetery per his request.
The family deeply appreciates your expressions of sympathy, love, and support in our time of great sorrow! Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers! God bless!
