Khayyan Dewayne Brewer

Khayyan D. Brewer was born abroad at the US Army Hospital in Chinon, France on November 1st, 1961, and loved to tell everyone that he was from France. He was the oldest of 3 children born to the union of Melvin O. Brewer and Bertha Shaw Brewer. He attended and graduated from David W. Carter High School in Dallas with honors and soon after graduation briefly attended Texas A&I University.

After leaving Texas A&I University he worked several jobs which included being a Car Salesman and working as a Chef at several restaurants. He was a complex person who lived an active and adventurous life until he had a severe car accident that left him partially disabled and under the care of his mother Bertha Brewer. During his remaining time in life, he enjoyed listening to the Gospel and working his word puzzle books.

Khayyan entered into eternal rest, August 1, 2025. He is preceded in death by his father Melvin Brewer.

He leaves to cherish his memory – His mother Bertha Brewer, his brothers Shawn Brewer (Theia), and Khevin Brewer (Elaine), his daughters, Fantasia Brewer-Copeland (Zen), Khaynisha Edwards, Tequisha Edwards, and Britney Foster, (8) grandchildren, (1) great grandchild, (1) nephew, (2) Aunts, and a host of cousins and other relatives and friends. He will be missed by all.
