The Life of Deacon Kenneth Wayne Price
Entering this world on March 13, 1966, to Ona Price and Lepoleon Starks at Navarro Regional Hospital in Corsicana, Texas.
Kenneth was known as “Dirty George” in Dawson, where he said he loved to walk barefooted down the streets of Dawson.
Later, Kenneth moved to Dallas, Texas where he attended Charles Rice Elementary and Robert T. Hill Middle School. He then attended and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1984. He was known as Big K, Big Man and Big Ken. In South Dallas he was known as Pookie. He was a talented athlete who was on the wrestling and football team. Kenneth then went to ATI and received his certificate in automotive. Kenneth then went and graduated from Theology School.
He was a Deacon of Westview Baptist Church, where he served on various auxiliaries. He had many minister friends whom he supported faithfully. This is where he also met the love of his life, his wife Linda Williamson (Price), they were married on April 7,1990 for 34 years, where he also gained a bonus daughter and later 2 more daughters were born. He was more than excited to be a father.
He was even more excited and proud when his 6 grandchildren were born. They were his pride and joy. Beside his love for Christ and his family, he had a love for WWE and animals, which he would feed the homeless animals everywhere he went. He loved listening to the Canton Spirituals, James Cleveland and Rance Allen. He also loved fishing at White Rock Lake. He loved driving taxis and tow trucks. He was a true die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan.
Kenneth struggled and fought despite having several major health issues. He was unable to properly care for himself for over 25 years, where his wife, children and grandchildren became his caregivers, until his demise.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts, uncles and a host of other relatives.
He is survived by his wife Linda, daughters (Faith(Gary)Brooks, Tavon and Kennethia), six grandchildren – Elicia, Marquis, Kinsley, Zayne, Tionna and Preston, Mother Ona(Roscoe)Allen, Brother Caterris(Iris)CaterrisBradley Jr., Sister Sherretha(Lonnie Austin, Charcasia,Shalaria, Step-sister Michelle Washington, Aunt Nona Kirby, Aunt Earnestine Lawson, Uncle Spencer(Paula)Price, Uncle Wilbert Starks and host of cousins, family and friends.
