IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jose Manuel
Castillo Jr.
July 31, 1964 – February 10, 2026
Jose Manuel Castillo Jr. graced this world with his presence on July 31, 1964, in Laredo, Texas, born to the loving parents, Jose Manuel Sr. (who has since passed) and Maria Castillo. At the tender age of five, Jose's family moved to Dallas, where he blossomed through his education in the Dallas Independent School District, eventually graduating from South Oak High School. Those who knew him could easily attest to his humor, generosity, and warm-hearted nature that brought joy to everyone around him.
A true sports enthusiast, Jose had a special affinity for his beloved teams; he passionately cheered for the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, and Texas Rangers. His dedication is evident not only in his love for sports but also in his steadfast commitment to his career in apartment maintenance, a profession he cherished for over 20 years.
On September 28, 1991, Jose entered into holy matrimony with his cherished wife, Sheila, embarking on a journey together that spanned 27 beautiful years until her passing. Together, they nurtured and raised three beloved children: Jacobi, Devonta, and Aaliyah. Jose's heart held a special place for his late son, Jacobi, who preceded them in death, leaving a profound impact on the family's legacy of love.
In addition to his immediate family, Jose was preceded in death by his youngest sister, Elizabeth, a loss that echoes in their shared memories. He leaves behind a loving family that includes his devoted mother, Maria Castillo; brother, Mario (and Felicia); sisters, Rosalinda (and Marco) and Veronica (and Eramso); as well as two caring sisters-in-law, Tasha (and Wesley) and Realinda (and Eric). His legacy also lives on through numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will forever cherish the time spent with him.
Though Jose Manuel Castillo Jr. has departed from our midst, the warmth of his spirit and the love he gave so freely will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
