John Wesley Johnson, Jr. was born June 15, 1951 to the parentage of John Wesley Johnson, Sr. and Evia Lee Thompson (Johnson) Mooney in Longview, Gregg County, Texas. His parents preceded him in death. His grandparents, Orange and Evia Thompson and Will & Elmira Johnson also preceded him in death.
After moving to Dallas, Texas at an early age, John was added to the church of Christ at Lawrence and Marder Street.
John attended school in the Dallas Independent School District (DISD) and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1969. He went on to serve in the United States Navy and returned to civilian life in the Dallas area. He was employed as a D.I.S.D. custodian, Life Guard, and an Instructor of Shaolin Temple Boxing in martial arts.
John Wesley Johnson, Jr. departed this life on Saturday, February 11, 2012. At the time of his death, he was a resident at the Senior Care Health & Rehab at 2815 M.L.K. Jr. Blvd. in Dallas, Texas.

Craighton, Tyler, TX, Alfred Johnson, Jr., San Diego, CA and Jay Wesley Johnson, Seattle, WA and a host of other relatives and friends.
Wake: 7-8pm Tuesday, Febbruary 21, 2012 at Lincoln Funeral Home.
Graveside service: 1:00pm Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery.
