Jimmie Horsley

March 30, 1940 — February 3, 2012

Jimmie Ralph Horsley was born to G.T. Horsley and Arlena Castleberry Horsley Pruitt in Linden, Texas.  Jimmie accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Sunrise Baptist Church in Linden, Texas.

Jimmie attended Fairview High School, Linden High School and Booker T. Washington High School, Dallas, TX. Jimmie moved to Pasadena, California where he met the love of his life; Ann Page Horsley, and they married in 1965 in Bakersfield, California.

Jimmie was an Associate Minister at Faith Mission Church of Christ, Columbia, MO., a bible scholar, great sense of humor, and the author of 3 unpublished books.  He worked at the University of Missouri as head of custodian, and as a school bus driver. Jimmie touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, to the end.

On February 3, 2012, the Lord called Jimmie Ralph Horsley home to rest from his labor.  Jimmie was preceded in death by his father, G.T. Horsley, and brother, Gordon Taylor Horsley, his loving wife, Ann Page Horsley, and step-daughter Rosalyn Yvonne Meeks.

Jimmie?s memories will be cherished by his mother, Arlena Castleberry Horsley Pruitt; siblings Mattie Woolen Clay (Clarence), Harold Wayne Horsley, Arnold Ray Horsley (Louise), Frederick Leon Horsley, Sr., Lawrence Edward Horsley, Linda Horsley Abner Fitzpatrick, Vercie Pruitt Jenkins (Robert), All from the DFW area; Five children; Marvin Page, James Leroy Horsley (Shelly), Tomiko Louise Horsley, Harold Deleon Horsley (Alexandrea ?Shelly?), Bianca Horsley-Pabai (Phillip), a very special sister in law Peggy Horsley and very special cousin Bobbie Denwitty; 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren;  a host of nieces, a nephew, great and grand nieces and nephews, and other relatives.

Visitation: Tuesday 2:00-6:00pm at Lincoln Funeral Home.
Service: Wednesday 11:00am at Lincoln Funeral Home Chapel.
