Jessie James Anthony Sr., was born May 12, 1933 in Nacogdoches, Texas to Noble Anthony l and Pearlie Coutee-Anthony.

Jessie attended public school in Chireno, Texas. He received Christ at am early age and later in life he became a member and served as Deacon at New Birth Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas, under the late Pastor Pryor. He was a certified Concrete Finisher and owner of "JJA Construction" until his health failed him.

He married Maxine Pyburn, and to this union four children were born; Linda, Denise, Cheryl, and Jesse ll.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers (Jeffrey, Noble ll and JD), and sisters; (Corine, Gerlene, Ethelene, Lillie Mae and Lexie Mae.)

Those left to cherish his memories: his siblings, Mack Arthur (Verdell), David (Myrna), Tommy (Cecilia), Georgia, Verna Jean (James), Martha (OG); his children, Jesse James ll (Demetra), Denise, Cheryl, and Linda (Wendell); his 16 grandchildren, including his special granddaughter, Sade; his great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; the love of his life, Josie; and a host of other relatives and friends.
