Jannie was a native of Texas and attended Booker T. Washington High School. She was a homemaker who enjoyed her family, friends, bingo, painting things and shopping. She was a faithful member of Greater Memorial Missionary Baptist Church until her health failed her.
Jannie entered into marriage to Herman L. Kirven, Sr. and to this union seven children were born. She then met and married Willie D. Washington, Sr. and to this union no children were born.
Precedes to heaven with husband Willie Washington and son James Kirven. Jannie leaves to cherish her memories: her children Herman L. Kirven Jr.(Doris), Kathy Montgomery, Theodore E. Kirven(Renee), Jannya E. Brown, Darrell G. Kirven, Jeffrey A. Kirven(Sheila),Sharonn A. Andrews(Oliver), her siblings David Porter, Samuel Jones, Rose Hill. Twenty-five grand children, twenty-one great-grand children, and a host of relatives and friends.
