Ivory Charles

Ivory Lee Charles was born October 30, 1957 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Suvella Bolos and the late Lee Eddie Charles.

He departed this life on Monday, December 17, 2012 at UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, Texas after a sudden illness.

Ivory joined Bailey Temple in Benton, Louisiana under the leadership of Rev. Nicols and godmother, Evan Belauh Jones.

Ivory later moved to Dallas, TX and attended the Dallas Independent School District, where he graduated from Skyline. Ivory worked for Kmart Insurance in Security. He attended and graduated from Truck Driving School. This task allowed him to drive Semi trucks.

Ivory was currently employed at Bisco Industries in Irving, Texas. He was employed at Bisco Industries for fifteen years.

Ivory met Ms. Antoinette Alexander and they united in Holy Matrimony. No children were born to this union, but Mr. Charles accepted and raised as his own, daughter, Allana Alexander, and son, the late Aaron Alexander, who preceded him in death. Ivory was preceded also in death by grandparents, Edward and Elsie Schaffer, 2 uncles and 2 aunts.

Left to cherish his memory: Wife, Antoinette Alexander-Charles; daughter, Allana Alexander, Dallas, Texas; son, Antino Dobbins; granddaughter, Arieal Richmond, Dallas, TX; mother, Suvella Bolos, Shreveport, Louisiana; 2 brothers, Eddie Lee Bolden (Marilyn), Gladewater, Texas, John Lee Bolden, Las Vegas, Nevada; 3 sisters, Carolyn Graves (Wallace), Hermosa, California, Diane Powell, Benton, Louisiana, Gwendolyn Johnson (Will), Shreveport, Louisiana, 2 brothers-in-law, Joe Alexander (Jacqueline), Las Vegas, Nevada, Elton Alexander (Vicki), Dallas, Texas; 2 sisters-in-law, Rose Jones and Phyllis Harris, both of Dallas, Texas; 2 uncles, Richard Wilson and Edward Murphy, both of Benton, Louisiana, 2 aunts, Ester Faye Little, Louisiana and Mary Helen-Boyd, California; a host of nieces and nephews, numerous cousins and many friends, several godchildren and special godson, Christopher (C.J.) Shepard, II.
