Exxie V. Hunter, affectionately known as "BJ," age 79, passed away Wednesday morning, July 22, 2026, at Select Specialty Hospital.

She was born February 22, 1947, to the late Sallie and Ivory Stephens, who preceded her in death, along with five siblings.

She was united in marriage to Grady Hunter, who preceded her in death. To this union no children were born.

Education at Walnut hill high school where she graduated.

She accepted Christ an early age and was baptized at Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church.

She was employed at Perist Laundry for a number of years until her health declined.

She leaves to cherish 10 sisters (Mary Alford, Dasie Robinson, Helen Stephens, Margie Raven, Bobbie Stephens, Melissa Anderson, all of Dallas, Tx, Denise L Moore (from Waskom, Texas), Pamela Fields (from Greenwood, Louisiana), Bertha and Cleamo Robinson (from Karnack, Texas), and 1 brother John Stephens (from Waskom, Texas), all whom she loved dearly.

She also left behind many nieces and nephews (whom she loved dearly)

She was loving towards all who she came in contact with.
