In Loving Memory of Eunice Marie
Holman-Johnson
"Know that you are loved."
With grateful hearts and cherished memories, we celebrate the life of Eunice Marie Holman-Johnson, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and devoted follower of Christ. Eunice was a woman of grace, strength, faith, and unwavering love whose presence touched countless lives. Born on June 29, 1946 in Dallas, Texas. Eunice was the third youngest of eight children. She shared a close bond with her siblings: Billy Holman, Minnie Lowe, Joyce Anders, Chester Holman, Doris LaCour, Loretta Holman, and James Holman. A proud graduate of Roosevelt High School's Class of 1964, Eunice was voted "Most Athletic" by her classmates— a reflection of the determination, energy, and excellence that would characterize her entire life. A true Southern lady, Eunice carried herself with dignity, kindness, and timeless values. She loved people deeply, treasured family traditions, and believed in treating everyone with warmth and respect. Her laughter was contagious, her conversations memorable, and her heart always pointed others toward Christ. Eunice openly professed her love for Jesus from an early age and remained steadfast in her faith throughout her life. She enjoyed speaking about the goodness of God, sharing her testimony, and encouraging others through scripture and prayer. Her favorite way of connecting with people was often through a smile, a laugh, and a conversation about her Savior. An avid traveler, Eunice embraced life's adventures and created lasting memories wherever her journeys took her. She also dedicated 34 years of faithful service before retiring from Southwestern Bell, where her work ethic and commitment earned the respect of colleagues and friends alike. Throughout much of her life, Eunice courageously battled scleroderma, a rare disease. Yet she met every challenge with extraordinary resilience, faith, and determination, outliving all known patients she personally encountered with the same condition. Her life became a testimony to perseverance and God's sustaining strength. Philippians 4:13
"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
Above all, Eunice was loved by many. To her family, she was a cherished mother and a beloved grandmother whose love, wisdom, and presence will forever remain a blessing. Eunice leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Nikki Johnson; her grandsons, Nicholas Johnson and Jaelon Johnson; along with a host of family members, friends, church family, and loved ones whose lives were forever enriched by knowing her. Though she is no longer with us in body, her faith, strength, laughter, and love continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. "Know that you are loved."
Well done, good and faithful servant.
*His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant... enter thou into the joy of thy lord."- Matthew 25:23
