On January 29, 1943 Edna Pearl Ivery was born to Magnolia Pearl Peel Ivery and McKinley Ivery of Mount Pleasant, TX. Both parents have preceded her in death. She did accept Christ at an early age. She often recited the 23rd Psalm on her way to school daily to have the protection of THE GREAT I AM. She moved with family to Chicago IL at age 11 and graduated high school in Illinois. She married young to William Longstreet and gave birth to a son Aaron Longstreet in July of 1963. Later, she birthed a daughter Lillie Annette Longstreet In August of 1964.

She first worked in her mother's grocery store but later was a dispatcher for the Cook County Police, Chicago IL. Once her marriage ended, she returned to Mt. Pleasant and worked as a receptionist and secretary for The Presley Warehouse. She remarried and moved to Dallas TX in 1977. She began working at Southwestern Bell / AT&T, where she retired after over 20 years of placing ads in the Yellow Pages.

She had three brothers that preceded her in death named Charles Roland Ivery, Donald Ivery and Addison Ivery. She also had one sister named Emma Jill Ivery who has also passed. She leaves behind to celebrate a life well lived: her Caregiver/Groom Michael Wesley Jones. Her children Aaron and Lillie Annette. She has three granddaughters: Saharrah Williams, Omni Williams and Ziona Williams. She has five Great Grandchildren: Omari Dunlap, Gabrielle Washington, Lyric Greer, Kharielle Washington and Eliyahu Uzziah Valentine.

She leaves two sisters: Lillie Eloise Carter and Sheron Cantu and a host of beloved relatives and friends who will remember her fondly.
