Edna Clay

Life came to a close at 5:25 A.M. on March 23, 2020 in the Skyline Nursing Center for Mrs. Edna Mae Howard Clay.

She was the daughter of the late Cleaven Howard and Roberta Daniels Howard and was born September 20, 1927 in Hemphill, Texas in Sabine County. She was united in matrimony to J.C. Clay on June 5, 1966.

She attended public school in Hemphill, Texas. She joined the Macedonia Baptist Church in Hemphill and later joined Good Street Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas.

She will be memorized with her only child, Tommie George Bell.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, J.C. Clay; daughter in-law, Joda Bell; three grandchildren, Torrey Bell, Raquel, Tamekwa Taylor, Demetrius, Kalan Bell; four great-grandchildren, Bria Bell, Torrey Bell, Jr., Jeremiah and Isaiah Taylor; nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
