March 19, 1934 – April 21, 2026
Honoring a remarkable woman; she was a woman of wisdom, laughter, and love. At 92 years young, she lived boldly, loved deeply, and left a legacy fit for royalty.
Dorothy Carr Harrison was born to Foreman and Nancy Carr. Dorothy was the first daughter and second child of eleven siblings.
Dorothy finished Mexia High School, located in Mexia, Texas. After high school, she attended Madam Walker Beauty College, in Dallas, Texas and then went on to work for Loma Alto Beauty Salon where she served over 50 years as a Licensed Manicurist.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings. She leaves to cherish her memory her only child, Katrina Brown; granddaughters, LaShan Fanner Williams and Shatara Starks; grandsons, Kerick Fanner (Wife Reneisha) and Jeremy Brewster; great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild. She is also survived by three brothers, P.J. Carr Sr., James Carr and Charles E. Carr Sr.; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends who loved her deeply. Her love and legacy will live on through generations to come.
