Doris Taylor

Mrs. Doris Taylor transitioned from this life at the magnificent age of 97 to be with the Lord on March 19, 2020. Doris was born and lived in Dallas until her death. As a young child, she was baptized and professed her faith in Christ. Doris completed her formal education in the local school system. She was employed as a domestic worker.

She is preceded in death by her father, Rev. Osey Smith; mother, Roberta Smith; husband, Ozzie Taylor; son, Delbert F. Smith; brothers, Harold Smith and Ledosey Smith Jr;, and sisters, Lois Robinson and Laverne Thompson.

Doris is survived by her beloved son, Fletcher Ray Henderson; stepdaughter, Jean Cox; sister, Betty Smith; brother, Jonathan Smith; daughter-in-law, Brenda Smith; four grandchildren, Felicia Chalmers, Sammy Henderson, and Almethia and Darrell Smith; in addition to 12 great-grandchildren, 13 great-great- grandchildren, and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
