Dessie M. Patterson was born on December 14, 1936 to Odessie Hutson and Henry H. Reese in Gregg County, Texas. Both parents moved to Dallas by 1939. Dessie attended Dallas Independent School District.
She joined church at a young age and participated in lots of activities. Dessie enjoyed bowling, swimming and music. She was once married to Gene D. Patterson, who is now deceased.
She worked at Methodist Hospital as an LVN Nurse for 42 years and now retired. Dessie Patterson was a hard working woman and loved to care for people in that field. She loved her friends and family who supported her during those times.
She will be surely missed leaving her memories to: daughter, Nicole A. Patterson; granddaughters, Lashawn A. Patterson, Mariah Nichols,Collencia Sharpe; great grandson, Shawn Derrell Coleman; cousins, Sharon Anderson, Johnnie Green, Novie Darlene Davidson, Cora Lee Fleming, Zachary Green, Itheria Hutson-Hollins, Anita Sample and Arron Hutson.
