Delorice Pates

Delorice Jestine Pates, 82, passed away on February 3, 2018.

Delorice was born in Langston, Oklahoma on March 1, 1935 to the late Bennie Lee Pates and Jessie Lee Darnell Pates. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend. Delorice enjoyed watching Westerns. She loved riding around in her truck to visit friends and family. She was a loving person who thoroughly enjoyed taking care of others and she will be missed dearly.

Delorice was a member of True Vine Baptist Church in Ferris. She worked with Ferris Independent School District for many years.

Delorice was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Survivors: Daughters, Norine Johnson (Willie), and Celestine Jackson (Eugene);  grandchildren, Corey Murray (Rhonda), Tara Murray, Deshon Jackson, Eric Jackson and Linshondra Jackson; 6 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, a niece, Clara Brooks and a host of other relatives and friends.
