Deborah Hall

September 24, 1955 — May 24, 2024

Deborah Yvonne Hall was born to the parents and educator’s James and Dora Nell Dobbins Hall on September 24, 1955, in Houston, Texas.   She was the first born having one sibling, Elizabeth (Liz) Hall Diggs.  Deborah and Liz were raised to always be there for each other.

At an early age, Deborah was baptized into Christian Discipleship at Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Pastor D. S. Bailey in Houston, Texas.  In her adult years, Deborah united with First Metropolitan Church under the leadership of Bishop John D Ogletree, Jr.  After moving to DeSoto, Texas, she united with Trinity Church in Cedar Hill, Tx under the leadership of Pastors Jim and Becky Hennesy.

As a precocious young lady Deborah proudly matriculated from her first day of school until her high school graduation from Booker T. Washington High School in Houston, Texas.   She was Smart and determined.  Deborah entered Texas Woman’s University (TWU), Denton, Texas her freshman year.   She later transferred to the University of Texas at Austin (UT) to be with her sister and received her undergraduate in Secondary Education.  After graduation from (UT), Deborah accepted a teaching position with Houston Independent School District (HISD) at Paul Revere Middle School and was part of the outstanding staff until her retirement over 30 years.

Deborah, her mother, sister and nephew enjoyed traveling locally and abroad.

Deborah loved her family, and her friends, she was a collector of Thomasville collections, Member of the Houston Ski club, Fashion Queen and an Excellent Cook, but her greatest LOVE was that of the LORD!

Deborah left a lasting memory.  She wanted to be remembered as a person with a lingering presence, one that remains pleasant to embrace, bring a smile to your face and warms your heart.  Deborah was very selective of her words and she spoke many words of wisdom.

On Friday, May 24, 2024, God sent his Angels to escort DEBORAH YVONNE HALL home.
