Obituary

David Alan Zumbaum was born September 28, 1954 to William and Ramona Zumbaum in Ipswich, South Dakota.

His family lived on a farm southwest of Leola, SD.  The family moved to Dallas in 1957, yet every summer David and his sisters went back to Leola and stayed with their grandparents (Paul & Mildred Henderson) on the farm.  David graduated from H. Grady Spruce in 1972 and took a full-time job as a truck driver.  In 1976, David went to work with his father at Wyatt Industries until they shut down. David also worked at Borden?s Snacks as a warehouse supervisor and GE Engine Services before starting the final chapter of his career at Madix, where he worked from 2002-2013.

David married Beverly Reed on May 12, 1978 and raised their son Robert as his very own.  Beverly passed away in 2004.  David married Becky on June 11, 2005 at which time he quickly became out numbered.  David?s experience of raising a son did not quite prepare him for raising four daughters.  However, the girls quickly took to David and he did the same.

David is preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his wife Becky, son Robert Reed and wife Stacy, daughter Kimberly and husband Sean Matthews, daughters Monica, Amanda and Sarah. His sister, Linda, sister Peggy and husband Dewey Ivey, step bother John Taylor.  (9) Grandchildren: Shaylee, Blake, Shelbie, Bryce, Cheyenne, Madison, Mariah, Sean II and soon to be Hayden.  A number of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
