David Ferguson

David Glenn Ferguson was born on June 24,1956 in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of Clifford and Betty Ferguson. He graduated from Roosevelt High School where he was a member of the band and played the trumpet. Then he attended East Texas State University.

As a youth he was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.  During his early adulthood he was a member of Independent Baptist Church in Ennis, Texas. Later he united with Bear Creek Community Church in Irving, Texas under the leadership of Pastor Dennis Webb,Sr.

David worked as a skycap for American Airlines and a truck driver for JB Hunt. One of his favorite songs was “Happy”, and his Favorite meal was crab legs with butter.


He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Janice; two children, Devia Wynn and Bryce;
His sister and brother in law, Cherrlyn and Bernard Carroll; brother and sister in laws, Gregory Williams, Mark and Kaye Gant, Craig and Nigel Gant, Barron Gant and Sylvia Gant; aunts, Kay Moore and Maxine Brown; grandson, Doyle (DJ), special cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
