Charles Frye Sr. was born September 11, 1938, in Louisville, Alabama. Charles graduated from Barber County High School in Clayton, Alabama. He attended Allied Institute of Technology in 1969 and went on to build a successful career as both a Master automotive technician and a dedicated entrepreneur. On August 1, 1959, Charles was united in holy matrimony with Annie Dorothy (Edom) Frye. Together, they shared 65 beautiful years of love and partnership.

The wisdom he shared has enlightened all those who encountered him. Truly he has been a blessing and an inspiration to everyone near and dear to him.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Eddie Moe Fryer and Emma Lee Fryer, and brothers: Matthew Fryer and Isaiah Fryer. Charles leaves behind a loving legacy and is survived by his devoted wife, Dorothy Frye; his beloved son, Charles Frye Jr. (Teresa); grandchildren, Jessica Banks (Brian), Charles Ryan Frye, Jenard Williams, and Kendra Hill (Jonathan); brothers, Moses Frye (Clara), Paul Fryer, and Elijah Fryer (Julia); sisters, Ollie McLemore and Emma Hayward (Otis); and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
