Billie Butterworth

September 24, 1927 — October 16, 2012

Mr. Billie Larnell Butterworth was born to the parentage of Mr. Nathaniel Butterworth and Louie Butterworth on September 24, 1927 in Dallas, Texas.

He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1945 and went on to further his education at Wiley College in Marshall, Texas where he received a Bachelors Degree in Biology. After college, he entered into the United States Army and served his country during the Korean War as a Medical Technician.

Mr. Butterworth was also trained in Pathology and worked at the Veterans Administrative Hospital in Dallas,Texas for over 40 years before retiring. He was a great humanitarian and served the Dallas Community as a member and officer of the Improved Benevlolent Protective Order of Elks Greater Dallas Chapter. He also was a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Theta Chapter from Wiley College in 1954.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, and sister Norma Faye Butterworth.

He leaves to cherish his memories; two devoted and distinguished daughters Elizabeth A. Gates and Qiana Williams of Dallas, Texas; long term care givers Mr. & Mrs. Billy H. Gates also of Dallas, Texas and a host of other cousins,  relatives & friends
