In the words of Betty Rogers:

"I was born in Tatum, Texas on August 17, 1919.  I joined Harmony Hill Baptist Church at an early age under the Pastor J. W. Baily.  Later I married K.C. Rogers and two children were born, Ruth and James Clyde.  In the later years, we moved to Dallas, Texas.  I united with Greater New Zion Baptist Church under the Rev. A. V. Voice, Pastor Emeritus.  My pastor now is Rev. Joe S. Patterson."

Preceding her in death:  Parents:  Willie and Millie Garrett Jackson, Husband:  K.C. Rogers, Son:  James Clyde (Sonny) Rogers.  Three brothers and three sisters.

She leaves:  Her loving and caring daughter and Son in law Ruth and J. Hill (Dallas), 3 granddaughters:  Vanessa Hill, Robin McPherson (Thomas III) and Tracey Hill, all of Dallas.  1 Grandson:  Burke Rogers (Dallas).  2 Great Grands:  Thomas McPherson IV and Kara McPherson of Dallas.  3 Sisters:  Elmira McCarty (Oakland, CA), Irene Whitehurst (Longview, TX), Earlene Williams (San Antonio, TX).  2 Brothers:  Walter "Son" Jackson (Oakland, CA) and Willie "J.W." Jackson (Pittsburg, CA).  Sister in Law:  Dorothy Johnson (St. Louis, MO).  Special Daughters:  Alice "Cookie" Farmer and Gloria Barnes. A host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
